In the run-up to the event, Matthias Mittelberger, philosopher and project-developer of “mitweitblick”, and Olivia König from “jung&weise” are going to invite young people in schools to set their own topics in advance. What problems questions, and challenges predominate in the respective school or community? After that, the adult participants are consciously selected, depending on the ways in which they can contribute expertise on the respective topics and provide support in bringing about a solution. On site in Melk Abbey, the intergenerational dialogue will also serve as an exchange of ideas on the subject of the Academy: the issues of meaning and sense meet everyone personally and bring back memories of one's own life experiences: Where are the similarities, where are the differences in the values and perspectives of young people and adults?
